about

Danielle Carney

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Hello! I’m Danielle.

I'm really glad you're here.

I’m an old soul, adventure seeker, deep thinker, and lifelong learner.

I am a native New Jersey-an, wife, and dog mom to my sweet girl, Tinkerbell.

I value open-mindedness, curiosity, humor, honesty, and authenticity. I aim to bring these values to our work together.

Because I want you to be able to express all parts of yourself, be vulnerable, and feel like nothing is off limits in our sessions together, it’s important to me to show up as my full self, too. This means we’ll laugh (a lot), probably cry, definitely curse, and have some pretty hard conversations.

The really cool thing about starting to shape more freedom in our sessions together is that we can also talk about how we can bring some of that newfound, bolder energy out into the rest of your life.

I am passionate about helping women break out of self-defeating cycles to get back to themselves because I’ve been there. Coming to this work with a wealth of lived experience, I get it. What I’ve learned in my own journey is that we are inherently enough, our bodies are wiser than we are about letting us know what they need, we don’t need to perform, achieve, or change anything about ourselves to prove our worth, and we can be literally anything we want to be. With that being said, your journey will inevitably be different than mine. My role will be to listen, ask questions, and guide you to shape your own unique path of healing.

I work best with people who are growing tired of doing things the way they have and are willing to dig deep and make some changes. As much as we all want immediate change (spoiler alert!), therapy doesn’t work like that. I can’t change you, you have to change you. Change can feel scary and gross, but you know what would feel grosser? If things were to stay the same.

I’m so excited to walk alongside you as you explore and process life experiences, build skills to take ownership of your life again, gently call you on any BS standing in your way, celebrate your wins, and point out all of the things that make you so awesome.
